| Tigers Roll Over Swallows, 11-4 | The Hanshin Tigers beat the Tokyo Yakult Swallows, 11-4, at Ballpark of Otofuke College. Hanshin third baseman Billy Skaling earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. The Tigers have an impressive 20-12 record.
Logan DiPirro, who is tied for 3rd in the CL in total bases with 70, aided the Hanshin cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the third. For the game, the catcher went 1 for 3 with a walk and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Skaling.
