| Big Day by Hsueh Sparks Bay Stars Win | The Yokohama Bay Stars topped the Chunichi Dragons by the score of 8-4, with the biggest share of the credit going to designated hitter Xi-ku Hsueh. Hsueh was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored once for the Bay Stars on the day. The Bay Stars bumped their record to 16-15 with this latest triumph.
Hsueh had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a first pitch fastball from Yuuchi Kimura, he banged a grand slam home run to right, giving the Bay Stars a 8-4 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Hsueh.
Hsueh told a Yokohama Daily News reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
