Dragons Rally For Late Win Over Giants
Riding the 2-hit performance of the 19-year old third baseman Gyousei Yamane, the Chunichi Dragons stopped the Yomiuri Giants, 3-1. Reliever Hirokazu Matsumoto picked up the win. His record improves to 2-1. Okitsugu Morita took the loss. The Dragons bumped their record to 18-11 with this latest triumph.

Yuuji Mochizuki, who is tied for 4th in the CL with a .589 slugging percentage, aided the Chunichi cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the second baseman went 2 for 5 with 2 singles.

Yamane called the triumph "a good team win."
