| Victory Pushes Tigers Record to 15-11 | Hanshin played host to Yokohama at the friendly confines of Ballpark of Otofuke College.
Benefiting from Billy Skaling's productive game, the Hanshin Tigers downed the Yokohama Bay Stars, 8-3. Skaling went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 runs for the Tigers. Carlos Tafolla, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save.
The Tigers had to work out of trouble in the top of the eighth. The score was 8-2, Hanshin, with one out. Yokohama, with the bases loaded, was mounting a threat. David McKee dug in at the plate, but on a 2-2 curveball, he struck out.
The Tigers, now 15-11, know that wins in June count the same as wins in September.
