| Late Rally by Bay Stars Secures Win | Bay Stars first baseman Kichizo Takata put his stamp on his team's 5-4 win over the Yomiuri Giants. Takata went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Yokohama in the contest. Yokohama reliever Hiroki Dalton was credited with the win, to go to 2-1. Seisaku Moriwaki took the loss for Yomiuri. Satoshi Kawaguchi earned his 4th save in 4 tries.
The Bay Stars got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Danny LaTour. For the game, LaTour went 1 for 1, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the ninth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run single. His 3rd hit of the season gave Yokohama a 5-4 lead.
"Baseball is about momentum," said LaTour, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
The Bay Stars bumped their record to 13-11 with this latest triumph.
