Hsueh Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Yokohama in Walk-Off Win

Chunichi got a terrific performance from designated hitter Bill Jacobs, but it wasn't enough to beat the Yokohama Bay Stars. Yokohama won the Cuckoos Stadium contest, 8-5. Jacobs was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 3 for 5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Yokohama reliever Satoshi Kawaguchi was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Kiyoshi Takahashi took the loss. The Bay Stars now own a record of 9-7.

Xi-ku Hsueh chipped in for Yokohama with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the tenth. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 6 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 4 runs batted in.
