Republic Lose, 3-1, at Arson Arena

The Bloomington Blazers got a magnificent performance from pitcher James Jostle, who muffled the So Cal offense en route to a tight 3-1 Blazers win at Arson Arena. The Blazers bumped their record to 41-39 with this latest triumph.

The Blazers got a big at-bat from right fielder Mike Burge. For the game, Burge went 1-3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 24th home run of the season gave Bloomington a 3-1 lead.

In postgame comments to the Bloomington Chronicle, Burge said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
