| Swallows Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start | Tokyo Yakult right-hander Toby Scott made an effective start against the Yomiuri Giants at Ballpark of Yamagata College, leading his team to a 6-2 win. Scott, now 1-1, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 6, walking 3, and allowing no earned runs. Tokyo Yakult is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 4th in 11 games.
In the top of the seventh inning, third baseman Jun-seok Lee came through big-time for the Swallows. With Tokyo Yakult leading 2-0, he belted a 2-run home run.
"It was a solid team effort," said Scott after the game.
