| Sasquatch Score Late to Upend Toreros, 5-4 | The Seattle Sasquatch topped the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 5-4, in Roberto Clemente League action at Field de Los Layendas. The player of the game was Seattle pitcher and Springfield, Missouri native Cole Sanford. Seattle reliever Chad Flam picked up the win, upping his record to 6-0. Masazumi Ohayashi shouldered the loss. The Sasquatch have an impressive 50-30 record.
Had Omar McKoy not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, McKoy hit a 2-run home run. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Sasquatch.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Cabo San Lucas manager Cisco Sánchez said following the tough loss.
