| Dragons Get Road Win, 10-4 | The Chunichi Dragons topped the Hanshin Tigers, 10-4, in Central League action at Ballpark of Otofuke College. The player of the game was Chunichi pitcher and Ormond Beach, Florida native Kasey Doherty. Oscar Alatorre locked down his 1st save. Chunichi, at 6-2, has sizzled in the early going.
The Dragons got a big at-bat from designated hitter Steve Ashton. For the game, Ashton was 1-3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the sixth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 1st double of the season gave Chunichi a 3-1 lead.
