| Late Rally by Bay Stars Secures Win | Suk-jin Pak had a good game, but he could not keep the Yomiuri Giants from falling, 11-10, to the Yokohama Bay Stars at Cuckoos Stadium. The Yomiuri right fielder belted 3 home runs. He drove in 7 runs and scored three times in the loss. Yokohama reliever Francisco Guerrero picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Bill Brewer was saddled with the loss. Yokohama, now 2-6, is off to a slow start.
Riichi Ozawa, who is rated as the 17th best prospect by BNN, chipped in for Yokohama with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the ninth. For the game, the second baseman had 3 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 2 runs scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"We need to get rid of the bad mojo," said Ozawa. "Maybe this win will help."
