| Rhinos Lose, 3-0, at "The Fort" at B.C. Place | The Vancouver Pioneers got a magnificent performance from pitcher Neil Coffin, who muffled the Rubber City offense en route to a tight 3-0 Pioneers win at "The Fort" at B.C. Place. Willard Stady, credited with the save, is now 4 for 10 in save opportunities. The last-place Pioneers improved to 31-50.
Dan Rollins chipped in for Vancouver with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the shortstop had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Coffin said.
