| Fighters Get Past Chiba Lotte for 6-5 Win | The Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters turned back the Chiba Lotte Marines, 6-5, at Ballpark of Hakui College. Mototoshi Sato was named player of the game for his fine performance. He threw 6 innings of 1-hit ball. Hokkaido Nippon-Ham reliever Steve Girard picked up the win, upping his record to 4-1.
