| Multi-HR Day for Muramatsu as Buffaloes Overpower Fighters, 8-6 | ORIX right fielder Munenao Muramatsu was instrumental in his team's 8-6 win over the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters. Muramatsu, who is tied for 2nd in the PL with a .420 on-base percentage, went 2-3 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Buffaloes. ORIX reliever Danny Parlee picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Yasutoki Kamiya took the loss. The Buffaloes, at 26-19, have now won 4 straight.
Muramatsu contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for ORIX in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 2-1, Muramatsu took a slider from Yasutoki Kamiya and stroked the home run to right. His 13th home run of the season allowed the Buffaloes to leap in front, 5-2.
"Everyone's trying too hard," said losing manager Franck Marion. "If we learn to relax, we'll be fine."
