| Lions Come Back Late to Top Hawks | Saitama Seibu Lions starter Andy Ludewig was in fine form against the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks at Field of the Chariots, leading his team to a 4-3 win. Jeremy Schrimp closed the game out for Saitama Seibu, earning his 1st save. The Lions improved to 18-23.
The Lions got a big at-bat from shortstop Dakota Medwid. For the game, Medwid was 2 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the eighth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 2nd double of the season gave Saitama Seibu a 4-3 lead.
