| Golden Eagles Bang Out 6-2 Win Versus ORIX | The Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles got a stellar effort from pitcher Tim Shue, helping Tohoku Rakuten score a 6-2 win over the visiting ORIX Buffaloes. Yozaburo Yagi picked up the save, his 3rd. Tohoku Rakuten is in last place in the Pacific Division with a record of 16-24.
The Golden Eagles got a big at-bat from left fielder Wan-ling Bai. For the game, Bai went 1 for 4. In the bottom of the first, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 25th hit of the season gave Tohoku Rakuten a 1-0 lead.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Bai told the Tohoku Rakuten News. "It's as simple as that."
