| Golden Eagles Bang Out 8-5 Win Versus Chiba Lotte | The Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles powered past the Chiba Lotte Marines, 8-5, at Ballpark of Nasu College. Isei Matsuoka went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2, to lead the charge. Tohoku Rakuten reliever Noah Osborne was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Kazukuni Kimura. Yozaburo Yagi nailed down his 2nd save.
Takashi Horimoto, who is tied for 4th in the PL in triples with 2, helped out the Tohoku Rakuten cause in the top of the fifth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the left fielder was 1-2 with a walk and was hit by a pitch.
"My job is to go out and play as hard as I can for the Golden Eagles," said Matsuoka.
