| Marines Bang Out 11-5 Win Versus Tohoku Rakuten | Chiba Lotte left fielder Hideiichi Murakami made his presence felt in the 11-5 Marines triumph over the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles. Murakami was 3-6 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Jason Kinder picked up the save, his 1st. Chiba Lotte now owns a record of 18-20.
Murakami contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Chiba Lotte in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 5-4, Murakami took a fastball from Nate Collins and stroked the home run to left. His 7th home run of the season allowed the Marines to leap in front, 8-5.
