| Golden Eagles Win at Saitama Seibu, 6-3 | The Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles topped the Saitama Seibu Lions by the score of 6-3, with the largest share of the credit going to left fielder Wan-ling Bai. Bai was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Golden Eagles. Sang-Seung Lee earned the save for Tohoku Rakuten, his 3rd of the year. The Golden Eagles now have a record of 13-23 with the win over Saitama Seibu.
Tom Bodey, who is tied for 2nd in the PL in stolen bases with 10, aided the Tohoku Rakuten cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth. For the game, the second baseman went 1 for 3 with a walk.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Bodey.
