The ORIX Buffaloes defeated the Saitama Seibu Lions, 10-7, at Sea Hawks Stadium today. Leading the charge for ORIX was shortstop Mike Roach. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice. The win was credited to Larry Newhouser in relief. His record improves to 1-0. John Moore took the loss. ORIX now has a 3-game win streak.

With ORIX leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second, Roach hit a fastball from John Moore for a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Buffaloes ahead, 4-0.
