The Fighters got a fine performance from first baseman Alex Resendez, who captured player of the game honors. He went 1 for 2 with a home run and 4 walks, while scoring 2 runs. The defending champion Fighters have struggled a bit to find their groove this season, but improve to 6-6 with the win.
Bob Pawlak aided the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the third. For the game, the catcher was 2-5 with a double.
