Kansas City left fielder Barry Wirfel had a 4-RBI performance, which helped his team grab a 10-1 win over the Belfast Titanic. Tony Saldana was the winning pitcher. Over 5.1 innings, he allowed 1 run on 2 hits, with no walks and 4 strikeouts. The Tornadoes bumped their record to 53-28 with this latest triumph.

Wirfel had an important at-bat with a runner on 2nd in the bottom of the third, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Tornadoes went on to win.

"I thought we played a nice game," Wirfel told the Kansas City Gazette. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
