Rounsville hits 1st home run to Pull Golden Eagles to .500

The Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles knocked off the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters, 7-0, at Sailboats Ballpark. Taylor Rounsville, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Tohoku Rakuten won. The catcher was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. With the win, Tohoku Rakuten boosts its record to 1-1.

Jim Davis aided the Tohoku Rakuten cause with a bases-clearing triple in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the shortstop went 1 for 4 with a triple. He drove in 3 runs.
