| Patriots Bang Out 7-5 Win Versus Derby | It was a good time at Osprey Ballpark, where fans came to watch the Derby Panthers and George Washington Patriots get after it.
George Washington center fielder Rafael Escoto played a vital role in his team's 7-5 triumph over Derby. He went 2-2 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for George Washington. Stephen Poste got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 2 runs on 4 hits in 2.1 innings.
Craig Graham, who is tied for 4th in the PRL in RBI with 28, aided the George Washington cause with a grand slam home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the catcher was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once.
"Glad to get this win," said Graham. "But we need to keep playing at a high level."
