Joyner Jr. Slugs Mustangs to 15-8 Win

Wally Joyner Jr. made an impact in the 15-8 San Marin win over Pleasantville. Joyner Jr., who is tied for 2nd in the HAL with a 1.427 OPS, hit 2 home runs, while scoring 6 runs and driving in 6. San Marin reliever Taylor Langton picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Andy Herrin took the loss. San Marin now has a 3-game win streak.

Joyner Jr. had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 2-0 cutter from Josh Miles, he banged a 3-run home run to left-center, giving the Mustangs a 11-8 lead. It was the 11th home run of the year for Joyner Jr..

"Our guys are never satisfied," said San Marin manager Marcus Piscitelli.
