Lancers Lose, 7-2, at River Otters Ballpark

Elliott Perry made an impact in the 7-2 Santa Clara win over Canby. Perry went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Ruggiero Ferrero got the win, improving to 2-2. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up 2 runs on 4 hits, while striking out 10 and walking 5. The Vampires raised their record to 12-11.

Bob Morris had a big 2-run single for the Vampires in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Santa Clara trailing 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Scott Kittrell and stroked the single to right. It was his 13th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Vampires ahead, 3-2.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Morris.
