| Hernandez 'Lights Out' in Tioga Central Win | Tioga Central Tigers starter Luis Hernandez turned in a top-notch performance against the Tenafly Tigers at Ballpark of León HS. The result was a win for the Tigers, 5-2. Earning his 6th save for Tioga Central was Ian Pfeiffer. The Tigers bumped their record to 11-11 with this latest triumph.
The standout performance belonged to 17-year-old Hernandez. With his baby face, he looked more like someone starting for a high school team than for the Tigers. His performance, however, was nothing short of top-notch. The youngster dominated the Tigers, striking out 11 and scattering 3 hits over 8 innings. Hernandez is now 3-1 on the season.
"I had a good game plan," said Hernandez. "I made my pitches." His manager concurred. "It was all there," Gabriel McKinnes said, "the velocity, the sharpness of his pitches."
