| Williams Delivers Walk-Off Win for Poly | The Riverside Poly finished things off in style today at Apollos Ballpark.
The Riverside Poly beat the Santa Clara Vampires, 5-4, at Apollos Ballpark. The win was largely due to the efforts of center fielder John Pfeiffer, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The third-place Poly have won 4 straight games.
Bill Williams was the walk-off hero for Riverside. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Poly left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"Both teams played hard," said Riverside manager Gary Corwin.
