| Mustangs Come Back Late to Top Tigers | San Marin beat Tioga Central at Silvertips Ballpark, escaping with a 7-6 win. The win in large part was due to designated hitter Jian-zhang Gai, who earned player of the game honors. He hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4. San Marin reliever Howie Scott picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-0. Tyler Slover was collared with the loss. The Mustangs bumped their record to 10-10 with this latest triumph.
Kevin Wallace was the walk-off hero for San Marin. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Mustangs pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We take it day by day here," said Wallace, "and today was a good one for us."
