| Cardinals Raise Rally Flag, Beat George Washington, 3-2 | Kearny High beat George Washington on the strength of starter Sean Picard's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a 3-2 win. Silas Lawson got credit for the win, improving to 3-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1 innings. The Cardinals bumped their record to 12-7 with this latest triumph.
Sean Hinkle was the walk-off hero for Kearny High. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Cardinals left fielder hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said George Washington manager Frank Robles. "The effort was great."
