| Tigers, Dawson Jr. Pin Bad Loss on Indians | Spirited fans at Ballpark of Monterrey HS greeted the Jefferson Indians for their clash with the Tioga Central Tigers.
The Tioga Central Tigers used an offensive barrage to beat the Jefferson Indians, 13-2, at Ballpark of Monterrey HS. Andre Dawson Jr. led the way, going 4-for-4 for Tioga Central. Josh Caldwell got the win, improving to 1-2. He held the Indians to 1 earned run on 5 hits over 8.1 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 4.
When the Tigers needed a boost, it was the light-hitting Dawson Jr. who delivered. Facing Jefferson pitcher Fred Falco the top of the second with runners on 1st and 3rd, Dawson Jr. hit his 5th home run of the year. It made the score 6-0.
