| Yang hits 7th home run, Titans Move to 13-6 | The Carl Albert Titans beat the Lerna Lions, 8-6, at Zebras Ballpark. The Titans got a fine performance from third baseman Yi-ke Yang, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Zach Leckenby got the win, improving to 4-0. He held the Lions to 4 earned runs on 4 hits over 6.1 innings, while striking out 10 and walking 3. Jimmy Gallant was called on to finish, recording his 7th save.
When the Titans needed a boost, it was the light-hitting Yang who delivered. Facing Lerna pitcher Pierre Gallet the bottom of the sixth with the bases loaded, Yang hit his 7th home run of the year. It made the score 6-1.
"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Felipe Espinoza.
The Titans bumped their record to 13-6 with this latest triumph.
