| Warhawks Drop Tigers with Late Score | The Seminole Warhawks defeated the Tenafly Tigers, 4-3, in Hank Aaron League action at Ballpark of León HS, with Seminole pitcher Chris West named player of the game. The first-place Warhawks have a one-game lead in their division.
A key at-bat in the game came in the top of the eighth inning when the Warhawks sent teenager James Trinka to the plate against Tigers hurler Calvin Earle. With runners on 1st and 2nd and a whole stadium watching, the kid controlled his nerves and delivered huge, hitting a single off a 1-0 curveball to score 1.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," West told the Seminole Daily News.
