| Mustangs Bang Out 6-4 Win Versus Francis Lewis | The San Marin Mustangs had to overcome a big game from Francis Lewis right fielder Phil Pelham to leave Ottawa HS Grounds with a 6-4 victory. Pelham was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk. He drove in 3 runs. David Dahlinger earned the win to go to 2-1. He allowed 3 earned runs on 7 hits, with 4 walks and 6 strikeouts. Picking up the save was Howie Scott, his 6th.
Bobby Maurer drew 1 walk against the Patriots. In the top of the first inning, he reached on an error by the left fielder, driving in 2 runs, putting San Marin in front, 2-0.
"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Maurer told the San Marin Gazette.
San Marin is now 8-9, Francis Lewis 10-7.
