| Lions Continue Skid Thanks to Lewis, Tigers | The Tenafly Tigers beat the Lerna Lions, 7-5, at Ballpark of León HS. Tenafly catcher Tommy Lewis earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 1-2 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. The Lions, at 7-7, have lost 4 in a row.
Lewis had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 2-2 curveball from Nate Fevola, he banged a grand slam home run to right, giving the Tigers a 7-5 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Lewis.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Lewis.
