| Powell Jr. K's 14 En Route to 5-1 Poly Win | The Riverside Poly picked up a win at Apollos Ballpark, knocking off the Carl Albert Titans, 5-1. Starting pitcher Boog Powell Jr. was an essential part of his team's success. With the win, Riverside is 6-7.
The standout performance belonged to 16-year-old Powell Jr.. With his baby face, he looked more like someone starting for a high school team than for the Poly. His performance, however, was nothing short of top-notch. The youngster dominated the Titans, striking out 14 and scattering 5 hits over 8.2 innings. Powell Jr. is now 2-1 on the season.
"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Powell Jr. said.
