| Mustangs Clip Lancers in Tight Contest | In a tight contest at Visigoths Stadium, the Downsview Mustangs edged the Canby Lancers by the score of 5-4. Downsview center fielder Robert Fisher, who blasted 1 home run, was named the player of the game. The winner was Jon Williamson in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Raul Colon took the loss. Josh Creevy closed the game out for Downsview, earning his 4th save.
Fisher contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Downsview in the bottom of the eighth. With his team trailing 4-1, Fisher took a fastball from Raul Colon and stroked the home run to left. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Mustangs to leap in front, 5-4.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Fisher.
The Lancers drop to 3-7 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2038 season.
