The Montreal Cardinals defeated the Tenafly Tigers, 5-3, in Pete Rose League action at Ballpark of León HS, with Montreal pitcher David Keafer named player of the game. Montreal is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 2nd in 8 games.

Jay Rushton swatted a 3-run home run for Montreal in the top of the seventh. The shortstop went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 3.
