| Lancers Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start | Canby starter Mike Walker had a strong outing against the Billings West Golden Bears at Ballpark of Villahermosa HS. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 6-3 win. Manny Barrera, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 2nd save. Canby, now 2-5, is off to a slow start.
Daniel Staub Jr., who is rated as the 6th best prospect by BNN, aided the Canby cause with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the center fielder was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Staub Jr. said after the game.
