| Earthquakes Bang Out 7-3 Win Versus Brooklyn | The Brooklyn Black Knights got a superb performance from left fielder Jorge Palacios. Still, it wasn't enough to beat San Francisco. The Earthquakes won the game, 7-3. In spite of the loss, Palacios was named the player of the game. He went 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The winner was Enrique Galván, who threw 98 pitches over 5.2 innings. The right-hander was charged with 2 runs on 4 hits. The Earthquakes bumped their record to 39-37 with this latest triumph.
Jun Ogura, who is a two-time All-Star, chipped in for San Francisco with a grand slam home run in the top of the fourth. For the game, the catcher had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 4 RBI.
