| Golden Bears Rally For Late Win Over Patriots | It was a good time at Guadalajara HS Grounds, where fans came to watch the Francis Lewis Patriots and Billings West Golden Bears get after it.
The Billings West Golden Bears topped the Francis Lewis Patriots, 4-0, in Pete Rose League action at Guadalajara HS Grounds. The player of the game was Billings West pitcher and Pearl City, Hawaii native Tim Hash. Billings West reliever Bobby Rodgers picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Tyler Morawski absorbed the loss.
The Golden Bears got a big at-bat from right fielder Ken May. For the game, May went 1 for 3 with a walk. In the bottom of the eighth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 1st hit of the season gave Billings West a 1-0 lead.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Hash. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
The Golden Bears, now 2-1, have been on a roll in the early going.
