| Navigators Bang Out 9-6 Win Versus San Marin | The Norwich Navigators overcame a good performance by San Marin first baseman Mark Henderson to knock off San Marin, 9-6, at Silvertips Ballpark. Henderson was 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Steve Brinkley, who went 6.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 6 runs on 8 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 8. His record now stands at 1-0. The Navigators, now 2-1, have been on a roll in the early going.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the seventh, with the game tied, Adam Christoff was at the plate when Norwich scored 2 on an error. The miscue enabled the Navigators to go in front, 5-3.
