| Bell Jr. hits 2 home runs, Park Move to 2-0 | The College Park beat the Riverside Poly, 7-1, at Apollos Ballpark. The win was largely due to the efforts of center fielder George Bell Jr., who captured player of the game honors. He went 3 for 3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The Park, now 2-0, have hit the ground running this season.
Bell Jr. had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a first pitch fastball from Jeff Doane, he banged a solo home run to right, giving the Park a 2-1 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Bell Jr..
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Bell Jr.. "And not try to do too much."
