| Legends Nip Monarchs, 6-5 | The Saskatoon Legends scored a 6-5 win versus the London Monarchs at Ballpark of Red Deer College. Saskatoon catcher Tony Casarez nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Brett Conroy converted his 9th save in 10 tries. The Legends bumped their record to 29-26 with this latest triumph.
The Legends got a big at-bat from left fielder Dave Larsen. For the game, Larsen was 2 for 4 with a triple. In the bottom of the seventh, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 25th hit of the season gave Saskatoon a 6-5 lead.
"It was a solid team effort," said Casarez after the game.
