Royales Win in Glorious Fashion

It was a good time at Eliminators Ballpark, where fans came to watch the Victoria Capitals and Montreal Royales get after it.

The Montreal Royales beat the Victoria Capitals, 5-4, in 11 innings. Montreal center fielder Herman Bowes merited player of the game honors with his performance. He went 3-5 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Montreal, now 23-31, holds last place in the Lester B. Person League East Division.

The Royales were down to their final out when right fielder Lou McCluskie turned a 2-1 fastball from Eric Curry into a 2-run single. The walk-off single made the Eliminators Ballpark crowd go wild.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said McCluskie. "And not try to do too much."
