| Monarchs Roll to 8-3 Win Over Royales | London right-hander Wayne Lacey pitched his team to victory over the Montreal Royales at Hatchets Ballpark. The final score was 8-3. The Monarchs bumped their record to 29-24 with this latest triumph.
The Monarchs got a big at-bat from center fielder Dave Cote. For the game, Cote went 2 for 4 with 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run single. His 58th hit of the season gave London a 2-0 lead.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said London manager Frank Smith.
