Victory Over Capitals Takes Trois-Rivieres to 34-19

Ballpark of Chilliwack College was the site for CANADIAN BASEBALL LEAGUE action featuring the Victoria Capitals and Trois-Rivieres Saints.

The Trois-Rivieres Saints bested the Victoria Capitals, 9-5, at Ballpark of Chilliwack College. Chad Caines was named player of the game. He went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Trois-Rivieres goes to 34-19. The win puts them 5½ games up in their division.

Caines had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the fifth inning, when he hit a bases-clearing double. The Saints went on to win.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Ira Wood said.
