| Royales Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Outlaws | The Royales grabbed a win, 4-2, at Eliminators Ballpark, overcoming a fine effort from Calgary pitcher Isaiah Wynter. Wynter went 5.1 innings and allowed no earned runs. Montreal reliever Pierre-Louis Girard picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Todd Enos absorbed the loss. Montreal is in last place in the Lester B. Person League East Division with a record of 22-30.
Shannon Weaver found himself in a pressure situation in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Calgary hurler Todd Enos, the 19-year-old catcher reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 1 run. His 23rd RBI of the season put the Royales on top, 3-2.
Calgary manager Kiminobu Kamida said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
