| Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Legends | The Saskatoon Legends took Montreal pitcher Bill Cross's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Ballpark of Red Deer College. The final score had Saskatoon getting past the Royales, 2-0. Cross went 5 innings and allowed no earned runs, striking out 8. Saskatoon reliever Brett Conroy picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Matt Patterson shouldered the loss. The Legends bumped their record to 27-24 with this latest triumph.
Saskatoon won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With two outs and Matt Patterson on the mound for Montreal, catcher Matt Sper hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing Legends fans to their feet.
Sper said afterward that he was "glad the fans were treated to a good ballgame."
