| Victoria Wins, Berry has 6 RBI | It was a good time at Ballpark of Chilliwack College, where fans came to watch the Niagara Stars and Victoria Capitals get after it.
The Victoria Capitals topped the Niagara Stars, 14-5, with youngster Roger Berry playing a key role. Berry went 2-2 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 6 runs and scored once for the Capitals in the win. Victoria reliever Randy Beaupre picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Rick Russo shouldered the loss.
Berry had a key at-bat for Victoria early in the game. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 11th home run of the season and gave Victoria an early 3-0 lead.
In postgame comments to the Victoria Today, Berry said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
The last-place Capitals improved to 23-28.
